Emma Brown
Emma Brown is a Chartered Civil Engineer and Technical Director with over 25 years’ international experience in project management, flood forecasting and warning, and in leading supporting research programmes.
Emma is in charge of HR Wallingford’s Flood Forecasting and Software Team. She leads multi-disciplinary technical teams to configure and implement flood modelling, forecasting and warning solutions, ranging from small-scale river basins to national-scale systems.
Emma has conducted research into the development of more effective flood forecasting systems, forecast accuracy assessment, and tools for probabilistic flood risk forecasting.
