Sina Haeri receives IMechE Fellowship
Dr. Sina Haeri, Technical Director at HR Wallingford, has been awarded a Fellowship from the Institution of Mechanical Engineers.
Sina's election as a Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers is a testament to his exceptional leadership in the field of computational fluid dynamics, (CFD). With over 15 years’ of experience, Sina has demonstrated a strong commitment to advancing the understanding and application of CFD and multi-physics simulations in engineering domains.
In his role as Technical Director of the CFD team at HR Wallingford, Sina is responsible for spearheading innovative work in the computational modelling of particle-laden and multiphase flows, wave-structure interaction, and hydraulics. His expertise in scientific high-performance computing has enabled him to make meaningful contributions that bridge theory and practical application in these areas.
Prior to joining HR Wallingford, Sina served as an Associate Professor at the University of Edinburgh, where he made significant advancements in academic research and mentorship. His tenure at the university further solidified his reputation as a leading authority in the field of CFD, multi-physics simulations, and engineering applications.
