David Ramsbottom
David has 40 years' experience in water engineering and management since graduating from Cambridge University in 1975.
He has been involved in a wide range of consultancy and research projects including flood modelling and mapping, flood defence planning for river catchments and estuaries, and the development of flood alleviation schemes. He has undertaken the role of flood specialist on a range of projects in the UK and overseas and undertakes expert witness work on legal cases related to flooding. He has developed knowledge and expertise in strategic flood management planning, hydraulic modelling, assessment of flood risk, impacts of climate change on flooding, measures to reduce flood risk and flood risk management policy.
